Requirements
Principal Members
A Principal Member is a business, organization, corporation or other entity that
is involved in the solid-state lighting industry, subscribes to the purposes and
basic policies of the MSSLA, and whose admission will contribute to the MSSLA's
ability to carry out its purposes. A Principal Member will be eligible for membership
on approval of the membership application by the Board of Directors and on timely
payment of such dues and fees as the Board may fix from time to time. The Principal
Members shall exclusively possess the voting power for the election of directors
and for all other matters and questions to be decided by the members. A Principal
Member shall be a Michigan-headquartered corporation engaged in manufacturing, research,
or development of solid-state lighting products in Michigan, or a Michigan-headquartered
public or municipally-owned utility.
Associate Members
An Associate Member is any business, organization, corporation or other entity that
subscribes to the purposes and basic policies of the MSSLA and whose admission will
contribute to the MSSLA's ability to carry out its purposes. An Associate Member
will be eligible for membership on approval of the membership application by the
Board of Directors and on timely payment of such dues and fees as the Board may
fix from time to time. Associate Members shall not be entitled to vote for any election
of directors or upon any other matter or question except as otherwise specifically
required by applicable law.
